Yellowstone / Teton National Park

I have just passed from Montana into Wyoming, through the Yellowstone and Teton Nation Parks. These areas were both breathtaking.

I was told I would not like Yellowstone due to the number of visitors, but it seems I have hit the end of season. A ranger told me that July / August are about 4 times busier than September. That would have been horrendous on a bike!

Anyway, not much happened through the parks except cracking scenery; so this blog post is all about the pictures..........

Great pictures Richard. Just a bit different to my view from the window by my desk!! Keep the updates coming there are loads of us avidly following them.....

A Bit About Me...

My name is Richard Boxhall and I live in Bristol, UK. I have decided to make a difference in 2012. Starting in August 2012, I plan to undertake the biggest challenge of my life, cycling corner to corner of the USA, a journey of 5,000 miles, solo and unsupported.

I aim to raise money for, and awareness of, the disaster relief charity ShelterBox - my target is to raise sufficient funds to purchase 10 complete ShelterBoxes through a series of fundraising events.

The Corner to Corner challenge will begin in August 2012 when I set off from Neah Bay (Washington State), and cycle 5,000 miles solo and unsupported to Miami, Florida. I will complete the entire journey by bicycle over a period of 3 months. A rough route will be planned prior to departure, with the finer details being confirmed day by day ‘on the road’ to allow flexibility. I will undertake simple maintenance and repairs during the tour, carrying sufficient spare parts to deal with most foreseeable failures. I aim to camp and cook my own meals wherever possible throughout the tour.
